Legal information
Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This notice explains how MexoPath handles personal information for enquiries, website tools, consultations, and agreed immigration support. Contact the provider below for privacy questions or rights requests.
1. Who handles your data
MexoPath Immigration is the provider responsible for the personal information it collects for its own services. Our published contact address and privacy email appear below. Independent authorities and professionals receiving an authorised application may be separate controllers under their own notices; a destination listing does not create a MexoPath office there.
2. Information and sensitive documents
Enquiries may include your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country of residence, preferred destination and language, and message. Consultations may include immigration history, nationality, family circumstances, education, employment, and financial eligibility details. A separately agreed case may require identity, passport, civil, education, financial, police, or health documents, some of which are sensitive or specially protected data. Provide only what is necessary through an agreed secure channel, not public forms or AI chat. Required form fields are identified; without necessary information we may be unable to respond or provide a requested service.
3. Purposes and lawful grounds
We use necessary information to respond to requests, assess potential services, perform an agreed engagement, communicate about a case, manage billing, meet legal duties, and protect the website against abuse. Depending on applicable law, grounds include requested pre-contract steps, contract performance, legal obligations, permitted legitimate interests in service security and administration, or consent. Sensitive information requires the applicable additional legal basis and express consent where required; voluntary submission alone is not a substitute. Optional marketing needs a separate lawful basis and consent where required. You can decline or unsubscribe without affecting service enquiries. Tool outputs do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Recipients and service providers
Access is limited to people and providers who need the information for an identified purpose. Contact-form submissions are sent to Formspree; other enabled enquiry, consultation and partner submissions use Resend for email delivery. Hosting and mail systems may process delivery and security records. When configured, Upstash processes keyed hashes of email and network identifiers for short-lived rate limiting. AI questions and limited conversation history are sent to Groq for responses; avoid sensitive information. Agreed cases may be shared with authorised local professionals, translators, institutions, embassies, consulates, immigration agencies, or other necessary recipients, with required notices and authorisation. We do not sell personal information.
5. International sharing
Providers and destination-country recipients may process information outside your country, including in the United States or the country relevant to your application. Applicable protections may differ. Before a transfer requiring safeguards or consent, we must establish the required legal mechanism and provide any required information; this notice does not itself establish safeguards or replace a consent that the law requires. Ask us about the recipient, destination, and safeguards relevant to your case before sending sensitive documents.
6. Browser storage and external services
The AI widget stores limited chat history in this browser for up to 24 hours after the last successful message; Clear chat removes the local history. Clearing browser history does not erase provider-held records. Rate-limit counters expire after approximately ten minutes. The current website does not include a dedicated advertising or analytics tracker or a cookie-preference centre. Embedded Google Maps, if loaded, and external WhatsApp, social, or other links can send device and network information to those providers under their own policies. Browser settings can clear or restrict local storage and cookies. Any future non-essential tracking must receive consent where legally required. Visa Finder and Document Checker also save draft answers and checklist progress in this tab's session storage. Use their start-over or reset controls, or your browser's storage controls, to clear saved progress. Document Checker reviews your answers and does not upload document files.
7. Retention and security
Enquiries are kept for the time reasonably needed to answer and follow up; engagement, billing, and case records are kept for service delivery and applicable legal, accounting, complaint, or limitation periods, then deleted or anonymised unless a lawful hold applies. The period depends on the record and jurisdiction; ask us for your case-specific retention criteria. External providers may have their own lawful retention obligations. We must use appropriate access, organisational, and technical safeguards and handle breaches as required by law. No online system is absolutely secure; do not send unnecessary sensitive documents.
8. Privacy rights and requests
Email info@mexopath.com to request access, correction, deletion or cancellation, objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or limits on use and disclosure where applicable. For Mexican ARCO requests, identify the right, relevant data and requested correction, provide a contact for the response, and arrange proportionate identity or representative verification through a secure channel. Do not attach identity documents to the initial public enquiry. We will apply the relevant legal response periods and explain any lawful limit or refusal. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing and some records must be retained by law. You may complain directly to the competent data-protection authority, including the applicable Mexican authority or an EU supervisory authority where relevant, without first contacting us.
9. Children, other people's data, and changes
Website enquiries are intended for adults. A parent or lawful representative must arrange any necessary processing of a child's case data with the required authority and safeguards. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information without the required verified parental authority, we will take steps to remove it, subject to any lawful safeguarding or retention obligation. A parent or guardian should contact us about such information. Provide another person's information only when permitted and ensure they receive this notice. Updates are published here with the revised date; we will provide advance notice by email or a prominent website notice before a material change takes effect, and obtain additional consent where law requires it. Review this notice periodically. Privacy acknowledgement is separate from a paid engagement, marketing permission, or waiver of withdrawal rights.
10. Interpretation and definitions
Defined terms have the same meaning in the singular and plural. Company, We, Us and Our mean MexoPath Immigration; Country means Mexico; Website means https://mexopath.com/. Service includes the Website and the support described in this notice. You means a visitor or a person acting for an entity, and Device means a computer, phone or tablet. Personal Data identifies or can identify a person; Usage Data is technical information generated by website use. A Service Provider processes data on our behalf. An Affiliate is an entity under control or common control, meaning ownership of 50% or more of voting interests. Cookies are small files stored on a device. Account means a user account if actually offered; that definition does not establish an account feature on this Website.
11. Usage data and service improvement
When you connect to the Website, technical delivery and security systems may receive your IP address, browser and device information, operating system, requested pages, access dates and times, and diagnostic records. Mobile browsers may also transmit device and operating-system details. We use necessary technical information to deliver, maintain, secure and troubleshoot the service and, where lawfully permitted, evaluate and improve it. This does not mean an advertising tracker or device-fingerprinting system is enabled. Technical records are kept only for their lawful purpose and applicable retention needs.
13. Business transactions, affiliates and other sharing
If a merger, financing, restructuring or sale involves relevant personal information, sharing must have a lawful basis, remain necessary and protected, and be notified before a transfer makes a different privacy notice applicable. Any sharing with an affiliate or business partner must have an identified purpose, appropriate protections and any required consent; these terms do not assert that such affiliates currently exist. Sharing for optional promotions requires its own lawful basis and any required permission. If you choose to make information public through a feature that actually allows public posting, others may copy it; current enquiry forms are not public posting areas. Other disclosures beyond the stated purposes require an appropriate legal basis and consent where required.
14. Law enforcement and other legal disclosures
We may disclose necessary information to comply with a legal duty, valid court order or lawful public-authority request, protect legal rights or property, investigate misuse or wrongdoing, protect personal safety, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Each disclosure must meet applicable law, have an appropriate legal basis, and be limited to what is justified; this is not unrestricted permission to disclose information.
15. Links to other websites
Third-party links lead to services with their own privacy notices and practices, which you should review before sharing information. We do not control independent external websites or their processing. Any limitation of responsibility is subject to law and does not exclude duties that apply to our own selection, instructions, disclosures or conduct.
